$99 for the gold edition including all the DLC. I might have to wait for this one to hit the bargain bin.

Far Cry's DLC hasnt been great up till now. Not changing my expectations

Yeah, $99 is steep for content not even really related to the game. Next year's Winter Steam Sale is probably my sweet spot cause it does look decent enough. Unless this holiday is a real deal.

And I haven't even bought Far Cry 4 and Primal Rage yet even though they are discounted at 60% off during Steam sale. Waiting for it to drop to under $10.

Blood Dragon was amazing, though I'm not sure you can call that DLC, as it was a standalone.

As far as DLC and overall cost is concerned, this isn't any different from any other Ubisoft release from the past few years.

All of their games are essentially $99, now.

I'd pay $10 for the Mars one if I can avoid everything else. What I really want is another Blood Dragon. The base game, zombies, and any "real world" setting aren't doing it for me.

Primal is pretty great.

I consider myself a fan of the series, but games in this franchise are no longer a day-one purchase for me as each release feels increasingly iterative and lacking the substance a modern $60 AAA release should have. Unless the reviews are exceedingly stellar, I'll wait for a Steam sale (just as I continue to hold off on Primal).

Primal got boring fast.

GinRummy 03-08-2018 11:05 PM

I enjoyed Primal a lot, although I stopped doing all the piddly completionist quests. The story was fun and I liked the play mechanics. FC4 was a LOT like FC3, but that's not a bad thing since I did complete both. Hope 5 is good. The DLCs here look fun but like everyone else said, I think they are wait until on sale items.

For the game + season pass, not for the regular edition.

...Which is what I said.

If you want a complete Ubisoft game now, you're ponying up $99.
