“Rick and Morty” Season 4 is on its way!

The hit Adult Swim series is set to return for its fourth season in November 2019, it was announced Wednesday at the WarnerMedia upfront presentation in New York.

Season 4 will premiere just over two years after the finale of Season 3 in October 2017, the longest gap yet between seasons of the show. Over a year elapsed between the Season 1 finale in April 2014 and the Season 2 premiere in July 2015, while there was nearly a two year break between the end of Season 2 in October 2015 and the first episode of Season 3 on April Fools Day 2017. Season 3 then resumed in July of that year.

It was announced last May that Adult Swim had given “Rick and Morty” a massive 70-episode order, which will bring the series to 101 episodes. The order is part of a new long-term deal the network has signed with series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.

Never seen it.

Slartibartfast 05-15-2019 06:49 PM

Ignore the fanbase, and it's pretty entertaining.

I borderline feel guilty watching it with how twisted and vulgar it can be but it really is a pretty funny show.

PacerDawn 05-15-2019 07:20 PM

This is all I know about that show.

Dag-Sabot 05-15-2019 07:30 PM

Most of the fanbase has moved on to junior high school.

Best Rick and Morty ever:

It's insanely clever.

It's weird to me half the comments are about the fanbase. I actually had to google what people were talking about.

Honestly, I live on the internet too but I just don't get how some of this shit even gets into the headspace. Like, who has time to pay attention to stuff like people being A-holes at McDonalds? Is this what's on the 24 news channels now or something?

Love your username!

Its a pretty good show. Who gives a fuck about all the neckbeards that "totally identify" with it and decide that somehow being a dick (without the show's nuance) is Totally Rick and Totally koolz.

Serious fuck fanboys. Shows good though :). I love the insane detail to continuity.

The best part about all of the fanbase-related bullshit is the fact that everyone who thinks of themselves as a Rick is really just a Jerry.

This 100%. I almost feel bad for Jerry sometimes.. then I realize that is his super(douche)power.

Great show, generally love all Dan Harmon stuff.

Anyone refusing to watch a show based on a fanbase is just... I don't know to call them. They clearly have issues with how they think people perceive them.

I'm almost 52 and I have two kids and six grandkids - and this show is great.

Now get off my lawn.

I like this show. It's great.

Considering it will take like 25 years to get to season 10 the way they are going I am fairly certain I will lose interest by then if it is still a thing in the 2040s.

I don't think it'll take quite as long in between seasons for the foreseeable future. Part of the reason why things would take so long was because of negotiations between Roiland/Harmon and Adult Swim for episode buys. Season 4 will be the start of the 70 episodes Adult Swim ordered, so they'll be able to spend more time actually working on the show instead of trying to hash out new deals every year.

South Park is still the best, albeit it is in a bit of slump the last couple of seasons. Rick and Morty come in second The first couple of seasons of Archer are fantastic, but the last couple have been meh. Venture Bros is still hitting on all cylinders but is still not as good as Rick and Morty.

I love the show, though idolizing Rick is like having Stalin as your model for human empathy.

BeardedSonOfNel 05-16-2019 04:02 PM

I dig the show, and wish season 4 could be here already.

Azzy 05-17-2019 07:26 PM

This show is fucking fantastic. I have almost no worthwhile critiques of this show and I hate something about damn near everything.
I don't trust a person who doesn't like dogs, has more than five kids, and/or doesn't like Rick and Morty.
