I feel sorry for any game coming out on console right now. Everybody I know is backlogged with either Zelda or Horizon Zero Dawn or Nier Automatica...

Anemone 03-13-2017 12:09 PM

Yeah I don't know how I would play anything else right now. Zelda will be occupying me for some time.

LostToys 03-13-2017 01:05 PM

Glad nothing is coming out this week. I should be done with Horizon Zero Dawn this this evening (I assume that I only have the mainquests left after 60 hours) and will then start Neir Automata as I need a break from a truly open world game. I will then tackle The Legened of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch).

Mass Effect Andromeda next week. Too many fucking games in too small of time.

Chimpbot 03-13-2017 01:10 PM

Oh, man. I'm buying the shit out of The Valley of Gwangi.

Is that next week?!!? Oh man... #excited

People playing Horizon Zero Dawn, how is it actually?

LostToys 03-13-2017 04:10 PM

It is a ton of fun and the combat is always a challenge. It really got under my skin once I got halfway through the Cauldrons (so I could override half the enemies on the map) and could run around, sneak, overide the toughest enemy, then watch nature take its course.

There are some genuinely breathtaking moments in the game, some interesting NPCs, and the lore at the very end of the game is pretty fucking awesome.

So, if you want a more reigned in open world experience (none of the Ubisoft overcluttered maps of endless shit to collect) and are not into or don't care for Zelda, then it is worth buying.

Sorry for the lack of updates today. I was busy working on my crib. (That's Jersey for 'shoe box sized condo' that I live in.) I'm going to do some catching up now. If you've got any news stories I miss submit them. I'll sort them out if they need some formatting.

P.S. The blizzard is just starting outside. It's not like I'll be going anywhere. ;)
