For posterity...

Up to 16 players at a time can see each other as glowing orbs of light. It sounds similar to how The Crew picks who shows up in your lobby. It took one year but they finally at least partially implemented the ability for players to meet. Maybe in the future we'll get a proper avatar and interact with player ships.

Also, many of the additions in the 1.3 patch have been available to the PC version in the form of mods such as low flight and environment generation. I'm mostly surprised to see Hello Games still exists and is working to improve the game. Hoping it could be the fastest and most impressive comeback ever.

Pre-ordered the game but only booted it up once. I didn't give it much of a shot with all the broken promises, and at the time, I was ADDICTED to Ark: Survival Evolved. Looking forward to giving this another chance this weekend.

When I read "Atlus" in the thread title (it's actually supposed to be Atlas) I wondered if this was the update that made the game impossible to find at retail. ;)

If you hated NMS at release you should probably skip it today. The gameplay is still the same. By that I mean shit. It's just not deep enough or engaging or challenging in any way. The stuff they added since release are all nice things until you realize they're merely distractions from a fundamentally pointless experience.

My big issue at release was it being the most unbelievably unstable and UGLY game I've played in decades. Today that's all but eliminated and I can find enjoyment with what's there as long as I'm pissed on whiskey or another hard drink. Still it's not addictive enough with a long enough curve like Elite Dangerous where after a few years I continue to feel like I'm improving and see it happening (although gradually). No Man's Sky quickly reaches the limits after a few hours.

I got the game for free and I still feel ripped off! Just saying.

But is it fixing the situation where you Atlas quest bugged, you never completed it, you sold the orbs, and want to start over?
