Anybody see It?

Going next weekend, was too busy this weekend. Really enjoyed the first part.

I Saw It. I thought it was weaker than part 1. Actually thought that part 2 of the original mini-series was better. Wasn’t bad though, not great either.

Yeah, wasn't too bad. Not very scary though, just a couple jump scares, but I found myself laughing at what was supposed to be scary stuff so I don't know. Regardless, it was a good story, filled with heaps of call backs to the previous movie, and added scenes to flesh it out. It was a long movie, but an enjoyable conclusion. Not as good as the first though.

I agree with this; not scary, and a lot of what was supposed to be creepy/scary was just laughable. Additionally, it was too long for us, and we started to get bored and impatient. I feel like they could have shortened it at least 30 minutes. Overall, it was decent.

I thought IT was more like an adult Goonies than a horror movie. The characters go off on little adventures, then win the battle "Just because they really, really wanted too."

I'm honestly not even sure why this thing got an R-Rating. It felt PG-13 the entire way.

We certainly enjoyed it and it didn't feel all that long to me, I just think that it could have been a lot scarier.

Saw FnF on that list. Paint by numbers entertainment. Might go see Overcomer. The rest of the list (other 10 films) is SHIT. OMG, it's complete and utter garbage.

I agree that it wasn't very scary. I enjoyed it but I won't be in a hurry to rewatch it.

My wife got caught on several jump scares, which always entertains me. They had a few cool creature designs, and the cast was awesome. But I wasn't expecting too much in the "scary" department.

It was definitely a horror themed film, but not scary.

Still, as you say, I enjoyed it.

I didn't think the first one was particularly scary either but it had a couple of good creepy scenes and overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere. I'm looking forward to seeing part 2 as well, if for no other reason than it's the only horror movie my wife will even consider watching with me.

Didn't find the original to be "scary" in any way. Didn't find Chapter 1 to be scary.

But it's not so much about that, as it is filled with adventure, atmosphere, and storytelling. Which is really refreshing. Doubly so considering most American horror movies are a vapid series of jump scares and obvious tropes or shock-value violence and gore.

Nice to see something with some level of story telling. Some level of adventure.

If you want a shallow series of jump scares, go hire Spaghett from Tim and Eric.
