Anyone seen "Ready or Not"? A local reviewer described it as "A future cult classic" and that kind of talk gets my attention.

I started a thread about it.

Yes. I really enjoyed it.

Gerard Butler could have segued his 300 success into being perhaps king of the current action heroes. Instead he started doing RomComs and made for TV BS.
It's too little too late Gerry. Take your Stalone mouth and go Elvis yourself at China or some shit.

I have literally not seen a single ad or youtube algo-rhythmically thrusted trailer for this flick. Am I under a rock right now?

I never saw an ad for it either. The first two were cool enough, I'd watch the third, but not over something like "Ready or Not."

Butler action flicks will always interest me, because "300" and "Law Abiding Citizen" are off the charts badass. That reminds me, his 2018 film "Den of Thieves" is supposed to be good, I need to check it out.

Den of Thieves was a decent "the world is full of grey" action movie. Nothing super to write home about acting wise though it did have some surprises.

I tend to enjoy most of Butler's movies and the "has fallen" movies are guilty pleasures. I'll get around to watching it eventually but it isn't theater fodder for me.

I have to admit, a good patriotic movie is hard to find these days, I was really suprised by how much action was in the last one
