Quote:

After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a living nightmare.

This has all the makings of another classic with awesome lines for memes.

THE COLOR, THE COLOR!

It's Nic Cage. It will either be awesome, terrible or so terrible it's awesome. It's Win/Win/Win.

As a Canadian, its already horrifying to me because they spelled colour without an "u". :)

It’s considered one of his classic stories but I wasn’t a massive fan. Not sure how well the creepiness will translate to the screen either. But you never know.

This screams 'Mandy' to me

Agreed. I am a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan, he was unlike anyone in his time and is a weird dude. Mix that description with Nick Cage, and with this trailer which looks crazy, and I am looking forward to it. I kind of assume I'll be let down, but this trailer looks cool as hell. I'd go to the theater for this one.

That looks "Wicker Man" level of horrible.

As long as they keep faithful to the original story it could be good.

Not H.P.'s best but definitely not his worst either. Probably will be about on par with Dagon.

I've been looking forward to this one forever!

We just watched Face/Off the other night, it was awesome. Also John Travolta does a really good Nic Cage.

Just saw an old 60s movie Die Monster Die with Boris Karloff that's based on this story. Didn't know it was Lovecraft based until the credits started. Not too bad.
