Even though he dared speak the truth about the superiority of the Xbox One X? :D ;)

Interesting video. I don't try to collect anymore, but my best attempt was the Xbox 360. I bought just about every boxed game I found even REMOTELY interesting, plus as many CEs as possible. As a result, I wound up with probably 500 boxed games, more than any other system I own. The next closest is probably PS4. But nowadays the way digital is going and the way the pricing landscape is, physical collecting is done for me. And I just don't have the room, never have.

Also there's probably more like a dozen Gamestops in the immediate Seattle Area, and two dozen in the Greater Seattle area. I don't know how they can still justify so many stores.

I have a large amount of physical games lined up in bookcases and wherever else I can find, but the only system I collect with ongoing seriousness is the OG Xbox. I love that system for some reason, have 3 total, 2 of which are modded. Love the S controller, still think it's the best ever.

Would like to get into box PC games, but seems like it's sort of hopeless, especially in the Seattle area, Metal Jesus got them all!

Yeah no kidding.... if I had to pick a nostalgic passion from my youth I'd collect boxed Amiga games and Amigas. Some people do, and wow is it tempting. But I know it's just an attempt to recapture my youth, and an expensive one at that. $50 a pop or so on eBay for 3.5" floppies that likely don't work anymore, and a bunch of printed papers.

I still have my OG Xbox and most games, but I never bought more than a dozen or so since I was late to the party and then the 360 came out. Sadly my OG Xbox has developed a really annoying stuck disc tray so I don't play it much. So cool that many OG Xbox games are now playable on One.

See.... it's dangerous to even start thinking along these lines, because now I am sorely tempted to spend $300 on a T-Shirt against my better judgement. MUST.... RESIST....

:) That's awesome.

My nostalgia for childhood games/systems ends exactly when it interferes with my Jeep, shooting, and computer building hobbies which are all astronomically expensive anyway. But they are here and now. I am perfectly happy to play around with Pi / mini-ITX stuff and building legit arcade controllers but I am not spending $xxx.xx to get an original anything from "back then". If money were no object then hell, yeah, I would but it is, so more power to those that do.

Well, I'm not gonna buy it. But damn it would almost be worth it for the "holy shit" looks from the few elites in the know at places like PAX. :)
