Well then....you should be convinced. I haven't bought a Nintendo console since the SNES (I owned a hand-me-down N64 with hand-me-down software) and I don't foresee ever doing so. I was tempted for a few moments over Zelda, but it looks like ass (I'm not a graphics aficionado, but it bothers me if it looks terrible, which I think it does), I don't like the 'breaking weapons' mechanic, and I haven't played or wanted to play a Zelda game since the SNES. I also don't like the hardware (I don't need a mobile device; I have a great smartphone. That's my mobile device).
I own a hand-me-down XB1 and buy nothing for it. I have a PC and buy a couple of games a year. I don't give a single turd nugget for hardware, and the vast majority of gaming software is disposable garbage I don't care about either. I play about half a dozen games a year, buy one or two, and that's about it at this point.
Nintendo might as well be dead to me. Their stuff is stuck in the 90s and has rapidly lost its appeal as I've grown up. If that's offensive, so be it. That's how I feel about their stuff. Kid-centric.

If you'd be in favor of having the switch, as is, in place of the PS4 or xBone (or PS Pro or the ProBone).

I don't care about hardware. I have a mobile device (my phone) and a home device (my PC) that I game on. If it's available there and one of the rare titles I'm interested in, I'll bite. If not, whatever.
Honestly, I can't think of a single Nintendo title I'd actually pay for right now. I stopped buying DS games for my kids years ago and I just don't care about their stuff. I'll take Skyrim over Zelda any day. If their smartphone Zelda is F2P I'll check it out. If it costs money, most likely not.
tl;dr version: I'm not rooting for them to fail, just not their customer, so...whatever!
