Looks like I'll be rooting against you next Sunday then, since my iggles managed to squeak through on a wing and a prayer.

My Vikes are in, but will go nowhere :o

Sorry I haven't posted an NFL tread the last couple of weeks. The thread wasn't getting much traction, but I'll start it back up. :)

Niners baby

The Patriots' end is nigh, lol. No dynasty lasts forever, and a generation of Bostonians have been snuggled in the warm embrace of seemingly perpetual success.

The valley is going to be painful, baby. Ask the Celtics. Or Lakers. Or Cowboys. Or Niners. Or Yankees! :D

Eat it, Cheatriots! :D

I haven’t watched much football at all these last few years but I’ll take pretty much any of these teams over the Packers.

The salty tears are great and I don't give 2 fucks about football. The Celtics sucked for decades, same with the Red Sox and Bruins for a while, Most Bostonians know you're not going to always have quality teams on the field/ice/floor whatever.

Even when we had awful seasons('90 1-15) I still watched. This year the offense has been horrid and I don't see the Pats getting past the first round.

Even though the Seahawks just beat you guys a few weeks ago, the Eagles seem to have greatly improved since then, and the 'hawks have accumulated more injuries. I really hope to win so we can go back to San Fran and beat them again after last night, but one game at a time. Good luck, I'm sure it'll be a close, crazy game!

R A V E N S ! ! !

Too bad my favorite team, the Dolphins, are shit and have been pretty much forever. So I will root for my second favorites: the Seachickens.

I ain't watching any games cause the NFL is shit, but I can root passively.

Injuries have been the theme of the season for us. We're not at 2nd or even 3rd stringers at this point. The last game, 3 of our 4 receivers were from the practice squad. Not even our practice squad, one had been on the 49ers practice squad.

It was awful watching the Cowboys destroy Washington, knowing that my only hope for seeing them make the playoffs revolved entirely around needing the Giants to just not suck for one week.

The silver lining is that missing the playoffs all but ensures Garrett will be gone next year.

The Bruins look like they'll be pretty dominant for the foreseeable future, if nothing else.

O. Sunday was my first NFL game live .. I went to Boston to see the patriots against the dolphins... They played terribly including a pick 6 by Brady :'( ... But we'll I guess is better to lose now than in playoffs... I don't see Patriots going far but they still have my support...

The Bruins lack an enforcer and grit. As shown by the Blues head hunting them for the entire Stanley Cup final last year. Bret Richie wasn't the answer. And Heinen is a turn over machine, why they keep putting him on a powerplay unit when Bjork is not only a better player but obviously hungrier is beyond me. They'll be good for a couple more years sure, but Chara is nearing the end, and Bergeron isn't getting any younger either.

I think the Bruins have the grit, but they have a tendency to play down to their opponents from time to time. They opened the season up looking for blood...but if they're going to slump, I'd rather see it now. As far as the playoffs are concerned, their top line needs to play like a top line. Bergeron and Marchand are great during the regular season, but they both shit their pants once the postseason starts. Pasta can't do it all by himself, and he suffers from their diminished production. I think Chara has benefited quite significantly from guys like McAvoy, Clifton, and Grzelcyk, though; he's got some solid, younger support that actually gives a shit.

As long as Tuukka and Halak can keep things up in the net, things should be okay down the stretch. They've turned into quite the tandem, and they're both fun to watch.

Back in the position of longshot, but weirder things have happened...!

QFT and Great Justice! :D

Brady is done. No more Super Bowls. Great career, but he'll end it (if he continues to play) badly. Yards per throw has declined every year for years now, a sure sign of an aging/slower/weaker/less confident passer. Belichick/Kraft screwed up letting Garoppolo go to SF.

Enjoy, Boston! :D
