I can't help but thinking of the end of this ERB when I see this sort of thing happen.

(I put the whole piece of art here even though it's the end that is the most relevant)

I'm giving this the benefit of the doubt, mainly because of the people involved; Brian Froud and a number of long-time Henson collaborators are on board for this, including people who were around for the original film. They're going with practical effects and puppets, so it's very much going to be an extension of the film.

I've got faith, this time around.

That was pretty good and pretty accurate. And a good reminder that a handful of creative people made most of the iconic characters and franchises that we all love.

Young developers these days should be looking at people like Stan Lee and Jim Henson's work ethic and the amount of content they produced and trying to rise to that level instead of worrying about TV rights to their one property before it's even published.
