Really, this is a "gameplay reveal" trailer? There was maybe 13 seconds total gameplay in that, in 1-2 second bits. If that even was gameplay, and I have my doubts. I got no feel for the gameplay at all in that. That was nothing more than a pre-rendered cinematic trailer.

PC will have uncapped framrate, consoles capped at 30.

PC will have field of view slider, consoles won't.

PC has mouse and keyboard, consoles don't.

PC purchase for sure!

Have they said anything about transfering from PS4/XBOX to PC? I mean, the character info is stored server side. I don't mind replaying 1-30 but I would prefer to just go through the story and get to the end game ASAP.

Interesting bit about PC only available on Battlenet. How long before other ATVI franchises migrate to Battlenet?

I hope you can mod the PC to have a 3rd person camera. If it has that this may move closer to a "must buy" for me. I'm not big on First Person so right now based on what I've heard about Destiny 1 I'm sort of meh.

There was a giant chunk of the opening mission "Homecoming".

Your characters do not carry over to Destiny 2.

Yeah, and the 13 seconds looked just like Destiny 1. Hmmm....I'm not impressed at all.

Jesus, could the gun models take up any more of the screen? I don't think they are big enough...

It's always been that way. The Heavy Weapon class is always a big over the shoulder type deel-y.

They are speaking Destiny 2. For example, Xbox 360 and PS3 users could migrate to Xbox One and PS4, respectively.

A lot of Destiny 2 players have a console and PC, so being able to have a single account or be able to migrate would greatly help the community. For example, my coworker would love to play on the PC, but most of his gaming buddies are on PS4. So he would like to play PC with me but then switch to PS4 when his console buddies are on.

shadow763 05-19-2017 09:23 AM

Ahh yes, I can see that being helpful. Should be possible, but who knows if that would actually happen.

Evil Avatar 05-19-2017 11:29 AM

I'm not really blown away by what I see here, but then again I wasn't impressed at all with the gameplay footage Bungie showed off of Destiny before launch and that game was just incredible.

Sure it has flaws, but we spent more time playing it than anything in recent memory and the action was a blast across the board.

I've got high hopes this will turn out great. Though it would have been nice to see them add a fourth class -- or even 3 more classes.

I definitely think it would sweet for my same character to be played on PS4 and PC. I don't think I want to do the same grinding on both platforms. I also wonder how the chat/game party is going to work on PC. Game party and chat works great for the most part on PS4 for Destiny 1. On PC, will I have to use a 3rd party chat program/skype/etc.?

shadow763 05-22-2017 05:07 AM

Bungie stated that you will not be able to use your console character on PC and vice versa.

Quote:

That's issue number one. Issue number two is there's no cross-save feature (Bungie's Eric Osborne confirmed this to me during the gameplay reveal event). Now, I don't think anyone expected PC/console cross-platform play for Destiny 2, but I'd hoped for cross-save. I expect to play on PS4 at home, as I still feel like Destiny is a couch game and I want to play where my friends are, and that for the time being is on PS4. But I'd have loved the option to load up my Guardian for use in the PC version during lunchtimes at work, for example, of if I'm in a position to play on PC further down the line.
