Toy Story 4 Teaser Trailer

Quote:

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.

There has to be a name for that thing that every animated kids movie does these days where the characters get slammed or fall down and go into a slow motion sequence where their voices go all low and distorted. It happens in every single one of them. Except it never seemed to happen in Pixar movies because they always seemed different. They were usually way better than their peers.

What happened to Pixar?

The passage of time and the corporate agenda.

What happened to Pixar?

Pretty sure Pixar did it first, in Monsters Inc.

M&Ms vs Monsters Inc

Damn, you're right. It's still WAY overdone now.

Waiting to hear the consensus on this one. I ended up enjoying 3 a lot. Maybe they can do it again.

The corporate agenda is calling for slow motion prat falls?

"What happened to Pixar?" was the question. The corporate agenda, particularly Disney's, includes milking well-established Intellectual Properties long past their freshness date. The idea being that while Pixar may release gems like Inside Out and Wreck-It Ralph, they are also going to be engaged to make Toy Story 5: Woody Hard With A Vengeance.

Put differently: I discovered yesterday Monster Energy Drink took its brand into the mixed coffee drink sector to compete with companies like Starbucks' Frappucinos in a bottle. That's the corporate agenda and stupid overreach of a brand into another domain that tarnishes its name by being in that domain.
