Weekend Headbanger - What are you listening to?

Well it has been a long week. It's after 11 PM here, and I'm finally able to sit down and relax. I'm feeling the Floyd tonight.

It's the weekend. What are you listing to?

New Queensryche. Guess they really aren't Queensryche anymore but the album is really good.

Still stuck the 8s.

Cept for this stuff which is pretty 80s. This is best played on a higher end stereo. There's a lot going on.

Add another vote for High Hopes being a fav Floyd song. Division Bell was a great album.

Soundtrack weekend for me featuring folks who might have been considered brat-packish people from my youth.

But there were actually multiple versions of the brat pack, they were picked apart and put back together like legos in the early and mid-80s. Not just the ones from John Hughes usually headed up with Molly Ringwald from the Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink, but you also had the Andrew McCarthy which morphed from Pretty in Pink to a more mature St. Elmos Fire and then the killer "Less than Zero". Of course there were a bunch of iteration with Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, and others.

I would be remiss to not mention Ferris Bueller but that soundtrack was unremarkable, as was the soundtrack to Better off Dead but we can give John Cuzack some props for Say Anything:

And how can forget Alex P. Keyton getting all growed up and finally making it into the business world in The Secret to My Success?

Honorable mention to Bill and Ted, cause they are just too cool for school!

So many more iconic songs from this generation, and so many soundtracks and scores!
