I wonder how many game franchises suddenly become horror franchises in this next generation, with the amount of detail and realism the graphics are going to demand. Sinking an arrow into the faces of random innocents, even on accident, is going to be grizzly in a way that the original games were not.

The Thief series did this before Dishonored was ever a fevered dream. It was a level in Thief 1 or 2, I forget. Same type of party invasion level scheme. Dishonored owns a ton to Thief anyways.

They sound smart and the pictures give me the same feel as the first Thief did. The hints towards how it will play in the same style and pacing of the first game are good to hear. That was Thief's big innovation, it made going slow a fun game. The exploration was amazing, little nuggets of story or loot every where. The levels had life.

Give it a good story that hooked me like the first one and keep the same awesome Garrett and we're golden!

Actually, for it's time I thought the game was pretty grisly. It was like 94'-95' when Thief first came out... I don't want to spoil any story from Thief because I believe it is still playable today, but I thought the plot twists could be pretty greusome too. It was also the first game you could just techniquely knock out every npc and be king of the castle or whatever you wanted. It let you drag bodies around and position them.

Anywho, I just love talking about Thief. Glad to see those bad Thi4f demos turned into an Ashton Martin version of Thief. It looks sexy. Keep making awesome games!

I've played all the Thief games, I just think the outfits in these screens look more like Dishonored than Thief.

Really hope this expands freedom slight seen in Deadly Shadows.. I thought that
was the really standout feature that made the game and wasnt just a series
of missions. Even if its just a much bigger hub world that the missions dangle off.

As long as it plays like a Thief game i think i'll be happy, some would like it but a full
on action game just wouldnt be Thief... so hopefully its not just an IP cashin

Looks pretty good. I like the cold desaturated look of the game.

But for me, the need to get Stephen Russell back to do the voice of Garrett. He's so freakin' awesome in that role!
