It's Sunday: What NFL Games Are You Watching?

Well the family and I have some work we need to do around the house, so we will be DVRing the Viking's game to watch later this afternoon or night.

What games are you watching today?

Just found out that my Rams are pretenders and your Vikings are contenders. Congrats on the win.

My Bills benched a below average qb for a rookie. The kid threw 5 picks in the 1st half. Pissed the bills pulled him. Game was over by mid 2qtr. Hell might as go for the all time int record.

5-2 start they probably only win one or two more games.

The fact that Aaron got hurt really makes it easy to boycott this year.

Joke's on you, I haven't watched football in forever to begin with. Hockey is the only professional sport I give a single fuck about.

Hockey is amazingly entertaining, and unlike football it actually provides 60 minutes of action for 60 minutes of game clock, lol. Football provides about 11 minutes of actual action for 60 minutes of game clock. Too many reasons to drop football for the bullshit sport it is. The flag protests are simply the icing on the concussed, CTE riddled, spouse-abusing cake that is the NFL.

Eleven minutes of gameplay.

Quote:
The 11 minutes of action was famously calculated a few years ago by the Wall Street Journal. Its analysis found that an average NFL broadcast spent more time on replays (17 minutes) than live play. The plurality of time (75 minutes) was spent watching players, coaches, and referees essentially loiter on the field.

I'm glad the threads intended to talk about that particular week's football games always turn into...this.

Last night's Cowboys/Eagles game was rough, to say the least. Regardless of the fact that players like Lee and Elliot were out, the team's inability to properly adjust comes down to the coaching staff. Philly adjusted at halftime, where Dallas simply didn't...and, the result was evident in the score.

Unfortunately, I think the season is over for the Cowboys. Hopefully they can put it all behind 'em next year. I mean, there's still a chance they could squeak into the playoffs...but, they'd have to win out the rest of the season and I'm not confident they can pull it off.

As a life long Vikings fan, I worry every year they are doing well because they always seem to throw it away. I think they are the real deal this year, and it would be awesome to watch them go to the Super Bowl on home turf

The only concern I would have with the Vikings this year is that Zimmer seems to be reluctant to definitively name the starting QB. Keenum is going great, so they'd be crazy to dump Bridgewater into the game cold this late into the season.

I'm glad to see more than just Green Bay being competitive in the north.

Who?

The most interesting thing about the Cowboys right now is their owner's war with Goodell and other owners.

Now THAT I'm enjoying. The games, however, are shit. You're welcome!

Ha, my 8th grade pre-algebra teacher calculated 13 minutes in 1989. The WSJ was definitely NOT the first to do it.
