I love that your are showcasing the Megadeth! But where are the amazing new King Diamond vinyl re-releases?

Also maybe someone can explain this but umm..... does vinyl REALLY sound better than CD? I am someone who has never owned vinyl. I also have not HEARD vinyl since I was 4 years old, and all I remember is hiss and static.

From what I understand, vinyl has more range if the music was recorded on vinyl in the first place. But it does start deteriorating from the moment you play it by nature of the needle. I think people really just like the idea of it though, especially if they grew up with it. I did and I’ll probably pick up a player eventually if for no other reason than the nostalgia.

That Death Angel album is one of the best all time. Found the CD a few years ago after having the cassette years ago. Goblin did the Dawn of the Dead soundtrack back in the 70s. I think you're thinking of Elf with Dio.

Yes and no.

You know all that music from the late 60s and 70s that people love to listen to? Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, The Beatles, Queen, Deep Purple, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc... All of that was recorded on analog equipment, mixed and mastered on analog and designed to be played back on vinyl records first. There is a warmth to those albums that when played back sounds on a good turntable / receiver that is very pleasing to most people's ears.

Also hiss and static is usually just corrected by a good cleaning or de-magnatizing of the record. You don't hear that on most of my records.
