I'm playing a rousing round of Move Heavy Furniture around tomorrow, followed by Opening Boxes Of My Own Stuff on Sunday. We'll finally be moved into the house we just bought, though.

Had a chance to sit down at work with the current Oculus Rift and the two controllers and it’s still nowhere near ready for the masses. Of course if you have it plugged into a good PC one of the first things I notice is the smooth framerate and perfect tracking. Totally nailed it. Unfortunately the experience is ruined by the screen door effect. Even with constant motion there’s always a not so subtle distortion covering the limited field of view. If you have kinda shit eyesight or are used to 1080p the effect might not be so apparent. Once the tech is at 4k and affordable I’d give my recommendation. For now... meh.

I've never been a person who gets sick from FPS games. Quite the opposite as I used to game for 8+ hours at a time. For some damn reason though I can't handle rift for more than 30 minutes at a time. I break out into sweats and get migraines. I think it has to do with the low rez being shoved straight into my eyeballs.

I can't wait for them to develop the tech further. I'm ready to smoke some weed and jack into the matrix.

just got back from phoenix. did grand canyon, sedona, and stayed with a friend in north scottsdale and mountain biking in those awesome mountains.

anyway - second playthru of witcher 3 (PC, awesome graphic mods punishing my 1080ti), and going to buy the DLC expansions for Last of Us and Uncharted.

might pick up another couple games off of GoG and mod them out.

can’t stop playing witcher 3. it is causing me to do none of the home to-do list!

cheers

Just got back from Scottsdale, did snobby things, sniffed my own farts. Now fellating myself while listening to Kanye West. Might play some Crysis on Ultra 4K on my Wall TV. Might have some lesser friends over so I can feel better about myself. Who's to say.

Off to see Avengers in two hours, then play Days Gone all evening.

I watched Infinity War again on Netflix with my Daughter last night. She won’t tell me who her favorite super hero is, but I think it’s the Pirate Angel.

Nice! You got in just before the weather starts to turn ugly. I’m taking time off in June and it’s like “June in Phoenix” is roughly 20 degrees cooler than “June in Hell”.

We would love to do some stuff, but who is going to want to go anywhere or do anything in June? We will probably go to some super $200+ a night snobatorium in Sedona with a Jacuzzi in the room and blast their AC down to bone-chilling temperatures while sitting in the hot tub.

Good times.

This is the most Scottsdale thing I've ever read.

Saw endgame last night. 10/10 loved it!

How's "Days Gone"? I just finally finished Sekiro (made it to the last boss and said "fuck it" is more like it), and I need a new console game. I saw days gone got a 5/10 on Gamespot but then saw it was a chick that reviewed it so I added an extra 2.5 to the score....

Gonna be playing some OnRush (XBOXOne) finally. Heard nothing but good things. Also will be playing a bit of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse on Switch.

Families on summer break! I'll be in Williams, AZ and Kanab, UT for ten days to start June to see the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Hoover, etc., then heading to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons for ten days, then to Mount Rushmore, on back home. PSYCHED!

Oh, and then, after we're home for a week, we head out on our typical summer vacation.

I'm not going anywhere until August, but I'll be going to Ocean Shores, WA. It's a nice coastal town that has a casino and a strip of restaurants and bars and stuff. It's nice.

As far as games I'm play this one you may have heard of it it's called Mortal Combat 11. It's something totally different from Mortal Kombat 11.

I had some slight issues while mining in Elite Dangerous. But that was with my old system. I upgraded my desktop to a I7-9700K on a ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E. Those issues went away. I still get severe motion sickness after driving an SRV on a planet. But that's more about how rough a planet's surface is than quality of visuals.
