Diablo III Holiday Bonus XP Event

Blizzard has announced that Diablo III players will get +100% bonus to experience on PC and the Ultimate Evil Edition on consoles this weekend.

Quote:
Get ready to deck the hells with a few extra experience points.
That's right! All nephalem who log into Diablo III this weekend on any platform* will receive a +100% bonus to experience gain. As with previous buffs, the bonus provided will stack multiplicatively with other existing bonuses, including those provided by items, shrines, Pools of Reflection, and Paragon points.

Doesn't matter if you've been naughty or nice! This festive in-game boost begins for console and PC players alike in the Americas region on Thursday, December 25 at 12:00 a.m. PST and ends on Monday, December 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST.**

Whether you're in Sanctuary, Azeroth, Mar Sara, the Nexus, or your local Hearthstone tavern, we hope that you and yours share in the warmth of the season. Happy holidays, heroes, and have a very merry new year!

Tempting to play some, if I could only tear myself away from Elite: Dangerous.

I got Diablo III for the PS4 when it was on sale and got hooked all over again. The game is so much better than it was at launch. It's a sold 9.5/10 now.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! It's a dreamer's kind of game.

Check out using voiceattack with it and consider buying the voice pack as well.

Elitevoicepack.Com or something like that.

My problem with the game, which I consider badass, is the lack of environments. I get bored of doing the same frigging locations I very and over. I love it thougjt, but after 100+ hours I need new locations.

I must add I don't have RoS.

I go back and forth on getting this or Inquisition. Not sure which is the better choice for me. Both are games I typically don't play.

RoS removes the "same location" issue. This also gives the game like 100x more replayability. It's a very good and very dangerous expansion. I've spent at least 200 hours on Reaper of Souls without even touching the "adventure" mode. It's all about the bounties and the rifts.

I've played way too much Diablo III.

In less than two hours, managed to get from level 40 to level 50 while doing the first three quests in act III (torment difficulty). This bonus is awesome.

Even with RoS the same location issue is inevitable since their map tiles and layouts are static. Upcoming patches will introduce greater map variation and add an all new area with monsters but at their rate of release the game easily becomes stale, and the (PC) community repeatedly dwindles away.

Blizz needs to rework their timelines (speed up patch delivery, get rid of PTR), and even provide dlc (new areas) and micro transactions (transmogs, pets) to keep the game regularly fresh for their *broad range* of Diablo fans.

Note, next patch 2.1.2 will be released simultaneously for PC and console.

Map layouts absolutely are not static. The tiles are but the actual locations are randomised, some more than others. I've played through the game with 8 different characters now as well as hundreds of hours on bounties/rifts and the maps constantly change. Back when i was grinding for crafting materials (before blizzard wisely removed unique drop craft mats from the game) i would have fucking killed for static maps.

nah, they're pretty much static with the omission of dungeon maps but even then they're completely predictable. I'd say only cesspools and realm of banished provide any real challenge to exit prediction

Unless they tweaked the drop rates from around the RoS launch, it may as well be 100%. Legendary items flow pretty freely.
