Nice fat stack! There’s no point in making HL3 this until it can make a similar impact to the originals, unless you’re interested in devaluing the franchise. The fact no sequel has emerged is more a symptom of how little FPS core has evolved since HL2, than any criminal inactivity on Valve’s part. I don’t wanna play underwhelming HL3 and I don’t wanna puke my guts out trying to do so in VR. If they’re sble todevelop anything that matches expectations, they’ll release.

Sorry for typos. Its my first time posting from a mobile, and I’ve had 4 pints. I stand by the statements though. God bless Gabe for not lowering his standards, and realising what he’s got. Whoever makes HL3 will secretly thank him for it.

I dont give a dam about HL3. HL2 was good but going back and playing it now is kinda meh. Not like Super Mario World. A game that came out years before and is still fun to play even today.

Let HL3 go. I want a new left 4 dead. Rumors about a new one have been floating around for like 3 years. I thought portal 1 was meh but I really enjoyed 2. Would not hate a 3rd portal game. I would probably be excited for any game valve announced that wasn't a CCG or anything DoTA related that wasn't Dota 3.

I don't either but I'm of the admittedly very small minority that thinks Half Life on the whole is one of the most overrated video game IP's in the history of the industry. HL2 was more a tech demo for their shitty source engine than an actual decent game.
