Rumor Mill - Witcher 3 Coming To Nintendo Switch
Via gamesradar+
Quote:
Product listings for the critically acclaimed RPG, which first released on PC and consoles in 2015, have appeared across Asian marketplaces over the last few days (as discovered by ResetEra) with the Nintendo Switch logo visible for anyone to see, suggesting it could be announced as an E3 2019 game in the next few weeks.
Normally, we'd be taking these leaks with a heavy pinch of salt, but the fact that several different stores have listed The Witcher 3 as an upcoming Switch game on their respective sites suggests this isn't just false gossip. While CD Projekt Red plans to focus on its upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 this year, it's not unlikely that this could be the small but satisfying surprise announcement of the show.

Get outa here. Really? If it's TRUE, and the port is handled seriously and optimized well, I will use this as the perfect excuse to go back to witcher 3.

Would not be surprised if this is one of those streaming-only titles like Resident Evil VII and Assassins Creed: Odyssey were in Japan. I just do not see the Witcher 3 being able to fit on the Switch hardware.

Who the hell would want to play it on a Switch? Does not compute.

A had no idea how amazing the Switch was until I got one. People say "Id rather sit at home and game", which is fair enough - but it's surprising how many times I get to enjoy a real game (not something like candy crush) while on the road. Work trips, waiting for the kiddo to get off the bus, on the toilet, laying in bed when the wife doesn't want a bright TV on, waiting in the car, while other people are using the TV - on and on. I love this thing.
I'd take Witcher 3 portable any day - so long as it's a good port.

The Witcher 3 coming to the Switch is pretty cool, if it can be pulled off.....As far as the Switch go's, the most fun I have had with it was playing game's with my Daughter, and honestly, that's the most fun in video game's I have had in awhile.

I got a switch a couple of months ago. It gets more game time than any other (current) console in my home. Skyrim, and Zelda are great time killers when I have a few hours between appointments with clients. If the Witcher 3 can be pulled off on the hardware...

I love my Switch. But given the condition of a lot of the last generation ports (Saints Row 3, Assassin's Creed 3) I think there's reason to be wary/skeptical. On the other hand, CDPR doesn't seem to do anything half-assed, so if they actually do the port.....
We'll see.
