I wonder if they made a deal with Ubisoft to crib some of the Assassin Creed: Origin assets.

How much is this bullshit going to be? $40 like with Destiny 1? If so, fuck off. This should be free. Destiny 2 needs more content.

While I, too, loathe this business model, it's clearly working for them and I don't see it ending anytime soon. It's a shame because I thought the core campaign was quite good. And if this is the only way to get more content, people are going to buy it.

I enjoy the game, but it is desperate for new content. I already own the expansion pack so I'l get this anyway.

Yeah, I've probably put 15 hours in all told and feel like I'm nearly done (I'm nearly done with Io and level 16).

I bought the digital deluxe but I worry the game is going to peter out real soon even taking my sweet time.

Finally beat the campaign and I have to say it was pathetic (short and I didn't really enjoy it either) . I think the first campaign took me longer to finish, but there is more content, so far, after you finish the SP game, then there was for Destiny 1. I am light level ~238 and so far it seems to progress pretty quickly. I think Bungie made the core game easier, which I am not sure how to feel about, but I suspect it may be to hook the PC crowd and just a larger audience in general.

The story really should have been part of the Destiny 1 story arc, as now you have put a smack down on the Vex, Fallen, Taken, and finally the Cabal. The teaser after the credits is where Destiny 2 should have started in my opinion. Maybe, I have played too many stories like this but, I just didn't really enjoy Destiny 2's SP, but the gameplay was good enough, and it was short enough not to really worry about it. The after story on Nessus (Failsafe and the Exodus Black), was more compelling then the campaign so far.

I laugh at the comment Bungie made before it launched about how they hope there would be complaints about TOO much story, lol. This content will probably not be bought buy me until much later when it is bundled, like they did with the Taken King.

I finished Io now and I'm a little pissed. It seems having played Destiny 1 is a prerequisite to understanding the story of Destiny 2.

I have no idea who the Speaker is and what his role is in all of this, well, just barely. The Traveller and any backstory is completely missing. And when it showed up on Earth. What happened to people to become guardians, where the Aliens came from.
Not just the Vex and whoever but also the playable races. There is backstory on Io and other historic places but nothing to be had in game.

Hawthorne talks about how the people outside the city have been living without the light for longer implying they once had the light or something?

It's all very confusing and considering D1 didn't come to PC I'm feeling pretty shorted, honestly.

Here is how i see it. If you are going to spend the money on this stuff. Pick a game you really like and stick with it for a couple years at least. If i can get 1000 hours of a good time for $100, fine.
