You get the actual games too. You canít judge it until you see the games.

I don't know - you see some stuff in the video, and it looks like simple mini games that just fit the cardboard model du jour. Even that robot game looks barely more complex than the average VR tech demo.

Seriously, I'm more reminded of "Let's Tap":

They are apparently quite complex to construct and do not forget, they are aimed at kids.

"As more details filter out about the individual models it’s becoming clear just how complicated these Toy-Cons are. The piano one apparently takes two hours to construct, and involves strips of cardboard with specially-coated film that the IR camera on the Switch’s right Joy-Con can detect, in order to tell which key you’re playing. The remote-control model uses the HD rumble on the controller to move, while allowing you to control it with the Switch touchscreen"

Scoff all you want but the thought of spending time with my kid making and playing with this is worth the cost.

Thatís my only worry about this. The wii was amazing tech that should have made for great games, but Nintendo didnít support it with games that fulfilled its concept.

If Nintendo chooses to put out nothing but dumb games, this will fail.

A full octave keyboard is amazing and could make for a ton of amazing games. But if the only software they release for it is ďnoise bangerzĒ that barely works, and has no gameplay, then itís not worth it.

Innovative idea, wrong construction materials. These will last about a day before the cardboard rips and breaks. That giant robot one, the motorcycle or the fishing rod would be lucky to last a whole hour with the average kid.

These would need to be made out of some kind of PVC plastic to be worth buying.

What is going to happen is they are going to tear, or rip or get cruched and people who paid $20 or $30 per kit are going to be right on the phone or the website demanding a replacement.

The product replacement costs and the support calls alone will kill this product in a day and they will end up pulling it right back off the market.

It's the right idea, the totally wrong materials.

I think you might be underselling the tensile strength of cardboard.

Kids are wreckless but they often aren’t dumb. Once they break something once or twice and have to deal with not having it, they get the message to take care of it.

I wonder when people are going to stop thinking they know better than Bintendo when Nintendo makes money as predictably as a farmer farms crops? At a certain point, you set your watch by Nintendo, you donít keep saying Nintendo is off.

So does the game teach you how to make things without the kit or is it a plastic bag accessory kit of cheap corrugate?

It's just a bag accessory kit full of cheap shit for $70.

Nintendo is so dumb, they thought they could sell literally nothing for almost $100 dollars.

Based on the feedback on the Internet, they will be making mad bank off of this initiative. And Nintendo is playing the long game, otherwise they would not be putting volume numbers (Toy-Con 01 and Toy-Con 02) on the packaging.
