Sure the gunplay is really smooth, but the gameplay is repetitive and generic as all hell. I can only stomach the game in 1 hour intervals before I get bored from lack of mental stimulation.
This guy gets it.

Not a fan of Destiny, I find it a spongy shooter that is extremely repetitive. I dont see anything changing with this game even though Activision is now out of the picture.

I just loaded up that free copy of Destiny 2 that they gave out around Blizzcon. So far I like it. Granted I only got through the opening of the story but so far so good.

You must mean puzzle elements that require brain activity. Yah, absolutely. It certainly looks better than aim, shoot, aim, shoot, repeat, to a middling storyline in the background.

I know we've gone through this before I just hate platformers, always have always will, it's likely the biggest reason why I just don't find Nintendo or retro gaming in general interesting at all.

If Nintendo puzzle elements require brain activity of you, you require remedial instruction.

If Destiny 2 requires any neurons firing at all for you, I now understand why the state of the industry and the AAA is what it is. :| You could be a literal vegetable and finish that game. At least in platformers you need some well timed jumps and a few thoughts requiring brain activity. Destiny 2 is the most mindless shooter I've played in years. I guess for that, I see the popularity.

While I was doing that, I was still just hopping around, aiming and shooting with fundamentals of gaming I've mastered since I was 6. I wondered if after pointing, clicking, and shooting, with a few uses of my ability and a random grenade throw here and there, if the game was going to throw a paint by numbers challenge at me next. :P

Not sure if you ran if blind or not but that's a big part of all raids really. They are essentially just big puzzles to figure out and I quite enjoy that aspect.

Last Wish (the Forsaken raid) took my friends and I 14 hours over 3 weeks to crack. Maybe that doesn't appeal to some but I quite enjoy puzzles and trying out different theories about what will work and what won't. The enemies and killing them are almost always secondary to the mechanics.

As an edit though, do you just mean the intro to the first raid? Or the whole thing? The obstacle course section I thought was quite different and fun and figure out/go through.

I don't play Destiny 2. I consider it shit.

Nice try, but off target!

The irony is most Nintendo games are aimed at kids, paint by numbers is kinda their bread and butter. Seriously you're a total bullshit artist.

You can set your watch to Spec’s Nintendo tantrums.

If that's what you call a tantrum you have a very low threshold. I actually find Pat's constant whining about AAA games, or genres he doesn't apparently like hilarious, since his excuses usually describe Nintendo titles to a T more often than not. The irony is both hilarious and delicious to be honest.

It all depends. I expect some whining from kids and chicks. But from grown men, it starts to look more like a tantrum. I disagree wit Pat so far anyway. I have a few hours into Destiny 2 and I’m really enjoying it so far. Maybe the cracks don’t show until later.

Oh FFS, if you want to bitch and moan about bitching and moaning on the Internet, and drag manhood into it like a little Internet cupcake, maybe you should just unplug your computer, throw it out the window, and stay off the Internet?
