Monster Hunter Stories is Coming to 3DS in September, New Trailer

Monster Hunter Stories is coming to Nintendo 3DS on September 8th, 2017. Shacknews has the story.

Quote:
Monster Hunter Stories, which offers the classic Monster Hunter mythology but introduces additional RPG elements that shouldn’t prove quite so overwhelming to the inexperienced, is due to arrive on the Nintendo 3DS in North America on September 8, 2017. It carries a current MSRP of $39.99, and looks to provide dozens of hours of adventuring.

The Monster Hunter series has built quite the following in North America, even if the audience isn’t as sizeable in that region as it is in Japan. Gamers around the world love hunting powerful beasts in harsh terrain, then using the components they gather from the slaughter to build armor they can use to vanquish more fearsome monsters still. It’s not the most welcoming franchise for newcomers, though, and that’s why the new direction in Monster Hunter Stories is potentially so exciting.

In Monster Hunter Stories, players enter a colorful world and assume the role of a Monster Rider. They must gather and hatch monster eggs, to better survive in a harsh world full of battling and adventure. As before, they’ll be able to craft new armor and weapons that increase their chances of success, and there will be multiplayer battles and side quests galore.

It's a fair assessment. I doubt even Nintendo's diehard-iest diehards want their own playtime segmented so.

This game came out in Japan five months before the Switch was released. Hell, we didn't even know much about the Switch back in October. There are going to be plenty of 3DS titles that were being developed and/or translated during that awkward window of time before the Switch was really a thing.

With any given 3DS title, they would have crossed the point of no return quite a while ago.

Bleh! Another game that's aimed at 7 year olds. NO INTEREST, at all. Comon Capcom make more games for everyone.

That's true. I just havent played my DS much at all due to the small screen. Im no spring chicken anymore, and all these games i DO want to play.

Also, i love that the Switch is a portable because it means that the games will need to be made with big font. Fonts got to small after the PS2. I dont have bad eyes i just dont like having to work to read stuff.
