The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Launches this Summer

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope confirmed in new teaser

We are happy to confirm that Little Hope, the second story in The Dark Pictures Anthology, will be released in summer 2020.

"We've been delighted by the reaction from players and the success of Man of Medan as the first instalment of The Dark Pictures Anthology” says Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games. “We really appreciate feedback from the community and the team remains committed to the goal of making each new instalment deliver further thrilling horror experiences, with the next chapter, Little Hope, bringing an all new and disturbing horror story to the anthology"

Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, 4 college students and their professor must escape the nightmarish visions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog. As they journey through the town looking for a means of escape, they must understand the meaning of these events, the root of the evil, and how it is directly connected to them!

The new trailer highlights both intense and funny reactions of well-known content creators. As the trailer comes to an end, it closes on the introduction of the eerie town of Little Hope.

The Dark Pictures – a series of intense, standalone, branching cinematic horror games - combine atmospheric environments with powerful storytelling to create a terrifying new gaming experience, every story influenced by real-world facts, fiction and legends.

Each of The Dark Pictures features two multiplayer modes: “Shared Story” – share your story and play with a friend online and “Movie Night” where you can play with up to 5 players in an offline pass-the-pad mode.

Players will be challenged to explore the world and uncover each story with the knowledge that all their choices have consequences, characters can live or die – will you make it to the end with all of them!

Same! But, I still need to play Until Dawn too. My backlog is more like a back-mountain.

Until Dawn was a lot of fun and everything I wanted from a horror movie/game. Man Of Medan was... meh. The central premise wasn't scary at all and once you stripped that away all you were just left with was a handful of barely likable characters and a bunch of quicktime events.

Agree Until Dawn was better, but Man of Medan wasn't that bad. Of course I'm only about halfways through both.

I am getting tired of seeing the same Man of Medan trailer over and over with the exaggerated streamer reactions and commentary (who, let's remember, are playing to their audience and most don't come off as authentic at all) every time they have a new video or press release. In this case they tacked on, what, 20 seconds of their next release?

I'm all about done with Supermassive with this bullshit.

Agree completely. Until Dawn had different choices that truly affected game play. Man of Medan had a bottleneck scene where, if you didn't hit the right quicktime button, it's almost impossible to get a good ending. One move, one button...and whatever else you did means very little.

Until Dawn had a number of choices where I felt like I screwed up (or made a good call). Man of Medan looks like a fine game, and has many elements I liked in Until Dawn. It just didn't actually mean much, and that was disappointing.

For this type of game, nothing beats Detroit:Become Human imo. That was a truly epic game that has not just different endings, but what feels like completely different games based on your decisions.
