yeah, that's all the place means to me now, lol.
People consider New York part of New England? Really?

I feel like I've lived in New England for far too long; most of the states up here are fucked up in their own special way, I'm sick of snow and I don't give two shits about nature and its accompanying beauty.

At least I'm just a relatively short drive away from the Bruins, though.

Most folks know NY is not part of NE, but I've had a few think so.

It's 80+ degrees down here and I'm riding my Harley (but not as I type this, lol).

Livin'!

Fuck yeah. Zuppardi's is my life long favorite, though. I don't get all the national hype over Modern. But if there's one thing southern CT does really well is pizza. Pizza and good water pressure.

God dammit now I need to get pizza tonight.

Also to hell with you leaf peepers and your slow as hell driving. It's almost exclusively old folks in tan Buicks with New York and New Jersey license plates.

In my neck of the woods, if they ain't leaf peepers, they're twits looking to spot a moose while chewing on a lobster. Inevitably, they'll either be a minimum of an hour away from the coast or on an island never inhabited by moose.

The same bastards love them some lighthouses, too. They'll usually try to find them no less than three hours away from where they're actually located, too.

I've never had Zuppardi's. I'll have to add it to the list. It's not New Haven style of course, but I'm a big fan of Colony Grill pizza.

Never been to the NE states. Been all the way to the coast but never further north than North Carolina. Pretty much done all my living in the mid-west, west coast, and UK.

From all account I don’t feel like I’ve missed much short of the big tourist things. DC, Broadway, blah blah blah. I’ve heard very few people I respect actually tell me great stories about LIVING in these places which make me consider them potential spots to settle down.

On the other hand I can’t recommend the Seattle or Southern California area either. But you can’t beat Montana (anywhere but Butte or Billings to a lesser extent) or Sarasota Florida for living IMO.

When I grow up and retire I hope to be able to afford a place near Kalispel Montana or Sarasota Florida. Or both!

EDIT: And to stay on topic both of these places tend to be low tax and business friendly states.
