INSANE Nintendo Amiibo Collecting - Kelsey's Collection

There are currently 145 Amiibo figures released and Kelsey has almost all of them. In this video she shows us her favorites, some that are hard to find and what they can unlock in Nintendo games.

Okay, MJ and Kelsey. We need to talk. I'm a 51 year old man. Why are you making me want Animal Crossing? The humanity!

Wow, has it really been nearly 3 years since MJ grew the facial hair and went from bald face creepy uncle who watches you bathe to awesome goatee wearing younger Kenny Rogers wannabe who watches you bathe?

MJ Before:

MJ After:

Time really flies...

But seriously I love these vids, keep up the good work.

I was able to quickly curtail my desire to collect these things, despite their uncanny ability to quickly sink their meathooks into your psyche. I grabbed a couple because of Breath of the Wild; some of them unlock cool stuff, such as Wolf Link unlocking a wolf companion.Aside from that, I grabbed Mega Man for the Mario Kart 8 costume, along with the 8-bit Link and Mario...just 'cuz they're kinda cool.

While the little "action statues" are kinda cool, I ultimately prefer having access to the content they unlock. As such, I almost prefer going with NFC chips that spoof the amiibo data...but, I also kinda hate doing it, because its essentially pirating what amounts to DLC.

I wish Nintendo would provide a way to access the amiibo content without buying the amiibos. I'd gladly pay for an official amiibo app or device that functioned as one without having to collect all of the damn figures.

Same here. I'm not a collector with most things. I don't have more than maybe 12 physical games in my house. I don't have a single DVD. I don't have more than 1 game console, and I tend to "purge" (sell or donate) stuff I don't use. But I did buy a few Amiibo for the unlocks, because they unlock content over several games. Just 1 or 2 Amiibos unlocked a bunch of stuff over several titles, so it was worth it. I'd never collect Amiibos personally, but I'd love a means to get all the content they unlock without having to buy a bunch of physical bits to do so.
