How many of those games raised $140+ million in crowdfunding?

You guys do know that once this game comes out all these "microtransactions" will go away right? They're just going to sell the game with a basic ship at full release and all the backing package content will be bought with ingame currency.

There doesn't seem to be a need to release. Idiots keep pouring in money in exchange for nothing. Why actually put out a product when you can sell promises for years on end?

It's like you have a vested interest in not seeing this effort succeed. Did you find a financial instantiation that would let you short SC?

I love space sims. I also love watching scam artists at work and the blind cultists who follow them into oblivion. SC is the best of both worlds. You have to be completely insane to think there will ever be a completed game. The SC community is a cesspool of crazies and sickos. Little surprise a big contributor and event winner was just convicted for child rape and sentenced to 45 years in prison.

Actual picture and quote from court:

The average "Citizen" appears on every episode of To Catch a Predator.

Why does this mean so much to you though? Why are you so invested in disparaging this thing? Are you saying that this guy's activity is a representative of SC-backers? That's a pretty obvious outlier, and I honestly have no idea who that sick fuck is. Did you discover this information about him from some SC-hate news site, or do you regularly peruse court cases involving sexual acts against children?

while I can understand your viewpoint the vitriol you have (and the vigor you seem to have it with) is slightly disturbing.

Seeing how he said "The average "Citizen" appears on every episode of To Catch a Predator." below the image, yes, he is implying that the entire community is nothing more than degenerates and pedophiles.

Just like Terran believes everyone is Hollywood is a rapist.

Other than Gary Sinise, one of the few decent folks in that toilet, PROVE THEY'RE NOT either rapists or in on it and mute about it.

The chucklefucks in the media are certainly all in on knowing, as their roast of the 'Cock of 30 Rock' reveals.

But feel free to defend Hollyweird and their pervs, and to drag me into your stupidity in an unrelated thread.

$130, and I've already requested a refund. They have not gotten back to me on this yet.

I tried to play in one of the releases. I couldn't figure out how to get a ship. I was out on the landing platform and ships would appear now and then but I'd walk around them and never find a hatch.

Then someone would run up and hop in and take off. I'd sit around till another appeared and play "hunt for the hotspot" again to find the hatch and fail every time. I don't remember how long I did that but eventually I just gave up.

I haven't logged in since. If I can't even get into a ship or there are no instructions on how to summon a ship so the basic parts of the sim can't even be checked out then wtf else is there to check?

So I get my $35 of enjoyment just sitting here watching the Derek Smart + Duke Nukem Forever abomination starring Chris Robert's ego and constant marketing and the ever lengthening schedule with no release date in site.

Looks more like I'm the dude getting free rent in your head, considering you brought me up.

Now please, continue defending Hollyweird for us!

Oh, more than enough for you to dodge the question and get back on the offensive. I'm sure of it.

Total amount is still less than I've spent on ammo this year, so I'm not spending anything I cannot afford to literally turn into noise and smoke.

Yet again, be it bullets, butt-plugs, or imaginary space-ships why does what I spend my money on mean so much to you? Why do you bother to track what any individual does (especially an obviously damaged one)?

Unless you weren't done deflecting.

Looks like CIG is getting sued by Crytek and they are supposedly moving forward with bankruptcy filings in the next week or two.

Any of the local Koolaid drinkers have a prepared statement to dismiss the beginning of the end of your little cult? Hmmm? Anybody?
