"They don't give a shit about Nintendo. They want a phone or tablet."

Sorry but I do not agree. Why? Kids already have tablets. By now they'll have had an iPad AND a random Android tablet (If not Samsung).

This year will be the Switch and a Drone (in the U.K.) as well as an Xbox one X 3 part 12 extended edition.

Great. So, who's got the link to the data on who's actually using the Switch in households? Because I have a huge family and no kids (or adults, lol) in it want the damn thing, lol. Nobody.

I'd love a link. This information is out there somewhere. I don't have it, but someone does. Share!

This is from April. Not too useful.

No, that's far better than nothing, thank you! I know this info is out there, and I'm really curious about it. Looks like perhaps a third of users are kids. Not sure how that compares to the past or if that's high, low, or average.

Well hell...I've got not context with which to draw any real conclusions unfortunately. I'm left with my anecdotal hot air, lol.

Nintendo knows this stuff. I'm sure of it. All companies study this stuff. Would love to know more.

Well, Switch has those as well. The difference is that people actually have to pay for them on the Switch whereas they are free on phones/tablets. And they still have all of the micro-transactions!

???

My comment was in reply to you saying that kids want a tablet. They already have them. There's nothing new, at all, in that area and sales are falling.

Kids, at least in my U.K. area want the switch based on the info from various Mothers where I work. It's THE thing to have this Xmas other than an xbox.

Anyway good to see the big N doing well. Not sure why some have a hard on for seeing them fail.

This is what i do not get. Especially on this board which leans to the right. Nintendo is the only family friendly traditional video game maker. As long as they keep doing this i will buy their stuff. Even if i stop playing games ill find a way to give them my money.

As for the Switch. So far i don't like it nearly as much as my WiiU. I really liked the dual screen stuff and miss it. I think when the online service launches next year that will change though.

Ditto. If a game comes out on PS4/PC or Switch... I always buy the Switch version cuz I can play the game anywhere and anytime.
