I wanted to go see Atomic Blonde this past weekend, but after going to see Dunkirk and Valerian last weekend, I was kind of movied out.

I think its humorous that the Emoji movie has a 7% rating, while Atomic Blonde has a 76% rating and the Emoji movie made more money than it.

Seriously, how did The Emoji Movie make $25.6 million? I know there are no other kid's movies out at the moment, but seriously, The Emoji Movie? Have some balls and just tell your kids no for once. Just put on Frozen for like the billionth time.

Whoever took their kids to watch the Emoji movie is complicit in the fall of humanity.

Humankind is reverting from 3000 years of progress of the written word back to hieroglyphics except instead of glyphs with grace and majesty we have... piles of poop.

I'm holding out for the Dark Tower this week. Sorry to see Valerian doing so poorly but that's what you get for casting a wooden peg and a wooden square for your leading man and woman. Not only can't they act but they have no chemistry.

George Lucas is calling up Luc right now comforting him, except at least the Star Wars Prequels made a shit ton of money.

Piles of poop... with faces.

I saw Dunkirk. It was very good, with a real sense of tension and hopelessness conveyed. Nolan cannot resist playing with time, of course.

Not really a beat down by any means, that's embarrassingly close for a movie everyone said was the worse movie ever and nobody would ever want to see. Hollywood is literally putting poop on the screen and people are still buying it, yikes.

More like a wooden peg and a bi-peg.

Or a wooden peg and pre-adolescent boy.

lol...

I saw Dunkirk this weekend with my son in law. Great movie with a fantastic, booming soundtrack.

Atomic Blonde was great. You can definitely see the John Wick influence, and the soundtrack was stellar. It should be a crime that Emoji did better at the box office than AB.

Too each their own has limits, and that limit is when something has absolutely no remediable qualities, even when the film comes to streaming services like Netflix in the future. There is a sizable difference between paying money for an Early Access/Release game that will eventually be free2play, and continuing to support utter trash films like The Emoji Movie and Pixels with hard earned cash.
