I think it crossed that line repeatedly. I'm not the only one. The laughs in my very full theater were fairly sparse. It was more groan-worthy at many times than genuinely funny.

I'm very conflicted on this. As a film taken by itself, it was very fun and I enjoyed it a lot. So much good stuff. The arena fight, the cameos, the Grandmaster, Hela was badass af, etc, etc. But as the third Thor film (and number xx in the MCU), it was really hard to watch Thor play the buffoon.

Like others have said, the humor got to be excessive over time. I think if they removed most of Thor's "Hey everybody, look at me: I'm stupid now!" lines the film would have been better for it. Oh, and remove all of Korg's dialogue. Just make him mute. Every line he had was played for comedy and it all fell flat. He was the Jar Jar of Ragnarok.
