many people dislike their policies, and perhaps digital sales are also taking a larger chunk of gamestops new and used profits. I have not been to one in years either...

I live in a city with around a million people. GS's are still open but mom and pop or hipster run outfits are popping up.

How are they are going to make when GS isn't?

As of now there is one near me that buys anything and everything people bring in and pays a fair amount for it. Its been there a year and its already full of unsold games. I have a feeling the mom an pops are not far behind. They are attempting to fill the vacuum left by GS but GS is going out of business for a reason. One mom and pop that has been open for 25 years recently shut down, though 4 other stores they own are still open.

At this point, i don't even care. I have never had any attachment to GS, they came after i was an adult. Get off my grass.

They are the wal mart of video games. But you can fault them for that entirely. Gamers do tend to be the dregs of society. They dont have much to work with.

Maybe I should have pre ordered more games and bought the “unofficial” game guides. Damn.

All kidding aside I hope to clean up on some deep discounted gaming crap or toys in the near future.

Same for me as well. Also Steam making buying PC games super convenient I didn't have to drive a half hour to the nearest Game Stop to buy games.

I could never get past them wanting to pay you $10 in credit for a game they were going to put back on the shelf for $55.

It never made any sense to trade to them. I always took my old stuff to eBay where I would usually get the same $55 + shipping costs.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.
