It's Sunday: What NFL Games Are You Watching?

The Vikings played, and lost on their second Thursday game in a row. I've got a honey do list today, so I might catch an audio stream of a random game.

What games are you watching today?

The Packers vs Houston. Hopefully they can win aND erase the pain from the Wis-Penn game last night.

One of my work buddies is going to to that game today. Wedding gift from his soon to be sister-in-law.

I might catch some hockey too. I'm not a big fan (even though I grew up in Minnesota), but I've been to a few Wild games, and I'm slowly getting into it.

I still love the sport of football but I feel like the NFL has corrupted it in ways. NHL hockey still feels pure to me but maybe that's because I haven't been watching it seriously my whole life and I'm just not seeing the issues.

Hockey is a lot of fun to watch live.

Hockey is amazing live. Far more action, unlike football with all of the downtime and absence of any activity on the field while the clock ticks down.

I grew up in a golden age of hockey in my area, attending Islanders games in the 80s (four championships in a row!!!, five finals in a row!!!) and seeing the Oilers play them, in the regular season and in the finals. Those two teams are in my opinion the greatest to ever meet in a finals. Check out the rosters and the number of hall of famers on both. Unbelievable.

Man, those were good times. Holy crap was that fun! Football is a snooze compared to that, honestly. So much dead time. So little action.

I DVR my football so it always has action, and takes a 1/3 of the time to watch

The officiating is just as bad as the NFL, if not worse at times. I've seen blatantly good goals taken away on more than one occasion, loads of bad or blown calls and an endless stream of bullshit penalties.

The players don't seem to get into nearly as much trouble, though and the league as a whole seems much more reputable. There simply isn't as much controversy from week to week.

The Jets need to send Todd Bowles packing. That was a complete mail it in game. The worst I've seen since the second year of the Rich Kotite disaster.

The quality of the team was priced into the ticket. Tickets to the game were selling for around the price of a stadium beer.

Still not worth it.

Much like with the Browns, I would absolutely pay that price if there was an opposing team I wanted to see. With Jersey being so much closer, it'd almost be worth the trip.

Even before the game started, I was dumbfounded that this was slated for a primetime slot. They would have been far better off flexing the Kansas City-Atlanta game (even though I don't think they can flex Monday night games).

Didn't get to see the game, but I hear the Jets were epically bad.

A stadium beer actually cost almost twice as much as an upper tier ticket did last night. It used to be there was a 20 year waiting list for Jets season tickets, but the $3,000 to $10,000 Personal Seat License per seat ended that abruptly.
