I understand the rationale, but I think a higher player cap encourages more replayability. I know I played a lot more Halo 3 co-op than I did Gears for that very reason, and if I'm going to be running dungeons for 50 hours, it would have been nice to have some more company.

From most wanted, drop to I-will-wait-for-review-first.

Seriously, why announce the 4 player coop then reduce it to 2?
Disappointment.

This is great stuff, good job. After Shane came back from Silicon Knights optimistic about this game I've been looking forward to it.

If I review this for the site I'll try to stay as objective as possible even though it sounds like I have a major crush on this game.

I'd rather have a more tactical 2 player game than a frantic spamfest 4 player game.

Having not followed the development of Too Human, I never even knew it was 4 player co-op at any point, so I guess that's why it's not a disappointment to me.

I think dropping 4 players was to balance the game.

As those bonuses stack, and the spiders... with 4 players you could probably get some game breaking bonuses going.

IGN has a new co-op trailer up, which looks pretty damn cool.

I told Nick he should have floated my name by him. He'd probably remember me. I got a personal e-mail from Denis after I put up my Eternal Darkness review asking if they could put it in ads and on their site. I don't think it ever showed up in ads (I never saw it), but I was on the site until they re-did the whole thing.

Woo...1500!

Indeed. Remind me of Crackdown. I so thought with a police squad it would of kicked a little more ass. Rocket tag could of been that much more fun. I hope they work on it in the next game.

I didn't read all of the interview yet, but did he say how taking a character you've been with one friend, can you play with it single, and move to other co-op games? Or do you have to roll a different character for different sessions?

Awesome, thanks Bap! Now who wants to set up some co-op groups? Oh man I am so excited for this game. It really seems like it may scratch my MMO itch, with some good action thrown in, and be able to be a bit more casual like diablo used to be. I just don't have the time or lifestyle for marathon raiding sessions anymore, but I miss that sort of co-op gaming and MMO progression.

Used to be Console Gold, now it's Gaming Trend. The format is all screwed with apostrophes (and I can't change it since I no longer have access), but here is my review. It is also one of the earliest reviews for the site back then (and probably one of my earliest reviews, so pardon the "green" feel of it), so the sections are minimal as they were added later.

I believe the key phrase noted on the website was: "It is an adventure game at its roots, but it also provides itself a niche for psychological-horror. Pure Gold." - Loren Halek (Console Gold)

or something like that... Even got an invite from them for E3 to see Too Human way back when, but I was unable to go.

Nice work, the streaming audio is clutch.

I had my doubts about this game, but if they can deliver (and you all confirm this), it could be a must play.

I have to say I would NEVER have played 4 player co-op...that said, its a HUGE disappintment for them to drop the ability to do it.

Nick - Drop in and Drop out?
Denis - Yes!
Nick - Excellent.
Denis - We did it as seamlessly as we could.
Nick - That's good to hear. That's one of the most frustrating things lately, it seems like more games are adding co-op, but they are always missing one piece of it.
Denis - No, we did the best we could with it on that level. It is host based, so once the host leaves you have to restart the session.
That doesn't sound very seamless. Maybe its just me.

Its a bit disappointing to me too. I think the hectic argument seems a bit of a cop-out...if it can work fine in MMOs, it can work fine in console. Its likely more of a balance issue, and I'm hoping they will add higher levels of co-op in the sequels.

Right now, DD and SK are being roasted alive on every internet gaming forum for dropping the 4 player co-op.

I didn't realize what a big deal it was!
