God Of War PS4 Will Take 25-35 Hours To Complete

GameSpot has the story.

Quote:
The upcoming God of War game for PS4 aims to be quite a bit different from the previous entries in the series. As opposed to Greek gods, it takes Kratos to a land dominated by Nordic gods and monsters; it's also meant to be a more intimate story about Kratos and his son. As the developer revealed today during the PSX 2017 opening presentation, the game is also going to be much longer than its predecessors.

Creative Director Cory Barlog announced on stage that the game will take about 25-35 hours to complete. This would make it significantly larger than the mainline entries in the series. For comparison, all three core God of War games average around 10 hours to beat.

This means that God of War PS4 is going to have a lot more content than previous titles, which Barlog hopes will be filled with exploration. There'll be different paths you can take through the world, and Barlog wants players to treat the game as a "tour bus."

One of the few console exclusive games i've ever played. Finished 1 and 2. Owned 3 but never got around to playing it. Port them to PC and i'll gladlyl play them all

I might be in the minority but that might be to long. Hzd was give or take that long also and around the 20 hour mark the story line really became how can we drag this out some more. For single player story line games i believe the sweet spot is somewhere between the 12-18 hour mark unless you can construct a narative that actually does not involve back tracking or Oh you need to go to this one more base we forgot so sorry

I'm definitely okay with longer games...but, 25-35 hours would feel like way too much if this one plays anything like the first two.

Hmmm, I don't think a game can be too long as long as extra content that isn't story related is optional.

playing witcher 3 right now, if i was forced to play every side quest I wouldn't even bother.

I love it, but I don't think normal people have the time for that much content.

Arguably it might at some point. It has good graphics. Everything else that makes the image above is composition.

If you steered the camera just right, you could maybe capture something like that.

I think most of the added time will come from open world nonsense. Not that thatís necessarily a bad thing.
