Creepshow SDCC Trailer

Based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, comes a new horror anthology series from the mind of The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero.

Should be great! The use of practical effects really makes this one look like it will be a blast.

The six-episode season will feature an adaptation of an as-yet unannounced Stephen King story, as well as segments based on stories by other award-winning and acclaimed horror writers, including:

“By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain” by Joe Hill (NOS4A2)
“House of the Head” by Josh Malerman (Bird Box)
“The Companion” by Joe Lansdale (The Bottoms), Kasey Lansdale & Keith Lansdale
“The Man in the Suitcase” by Christopher Buehlman (The Lesser Dead)
“All Hallows Eve” by Bruce Jones (The Hitchhiker)
“Night of the Paw” by John Esposito (The Walking Dead: Webisodes)
“Bad Wolf Down” by Rob Schrab (Monster House)

In addition, Shudder announced the two Creepshow stories that will be featured in the show’s premiere episode: the Stephen King story “Gray Matter,” adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (The Commuter) and directed by series showrunner Nicotero, which stars Barbeau, Esposito and Tobin Bell (Saw); and “House of the Head,” written by Josh Malerman (Bird Box) and directed by John Harrison (Book of Blood, Tales from the Crypt); Harrison was also the first assistant director for George Romero on the original Creepshow movie.
Gray Matter is creepy as all hell. Always one of my favorites.

I'm not crazy about the low budget TV look to it. Makes it looks cheap. Would be better if they had it at film-like 24FPS... but that's just me.

Why does Joe King still go by "Joe Hill"? Everybody knows who he is. I hope he appears as the grown up little boy from the first Creepshow, that would be great.
