Batman: Arkham Knight Drops SLI Support #Batman #ArkhamKnight

PC Gamer is reporting that Warner Bros. has stopped any support for SLI or Crossfire in the recently re-launched PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.

Quote:
"We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players," Warner rep "wb.elder.pliny" wrote on Steam. "As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature."

In to the trash it goes Rocksteady is now garbage tier. Hilariously PC Gamer reveals yet again how out of touch and incompetent they are. The comment about how SLI is "wonky" says a lot about how they're just another shitty review website and not the PC Gamer we use to know.

They took over and tried to salvage it after the massive fail port.

It is playable on my GTX 770 4GB. But it is still a glitch-a-thon.

I think I'll play AK, finally, this weekend. It's obviously not getting any better and I need a modern game, since I am currently trudging through Pyschonauts.

They keep taking hit after hit on this thing.

As i've said for the 100th time on this site, i played it bug free. 780TI and not a stutter to be seen. Really loved the game and its in my top 4 for the year. Its a shame because this title will forever be tarnished by its reputation and when/if they get it right, no one will touch it anyway

It ran smooth on my setup (GTX770) with only two random CTDs during my play through. No game breaking bugs at all. Overall, it had less bugs than most console ports I've played recently (I'm looking at you, Fallout) and it looked great. They captured Gotham City perfectly.

It's a great end to the franchise, I really enjoyed the story from start to finish. The only pitfall is that damn Batmobile and the ridiculous contrivances they come up with to force it upon you. The game would have been much better off if they'd left it up to the player to use it when/if they wanted. The two "boss in a vehicle" fights were so boring I almost dozed off. But that's a design issue rather than a technical one.
