Weekend Headbanger - What are you listening to?

Thank God the weekend is here! I've finally got time to sit down and watch the 3rd season of Stranger Things. The show has put me into an 80s music mindset. I'll be watching some John Hughes movies later. So it's a totally 80s weekend at my home.

That's awesome. I'd catch ZZ Ward if I were there too!

Actually just got done listening to Queen's A Night at the Opera on vinyl about 10 minutes ago. God that felt good.

It's a far cry from 80's music, but one of my friends dragged me to a Blink-182/Lil Wayne concert. I went expecting a bizarre shitshow...but it was actually a pretty good time.

I'm not a huge fan of rap, but I'm glad I got to see it. The tickets my friend picked up put us just few rows back from the stage; I could feel the bass in my organs.

Blink-182 played Enema of the State in it's entirety, which rocketed me right back to high school. I was surprised at how much of it I remembered, considering I really hadn't listened to it since 2002 (give or take).

This week I've been going back (to the primitive) 00's, which are my favorite decade so far, I think. Playing some Soulfly at full blast in the truck is always a good time. And the other day my coworkers and I were talking about how we used to just go to the store and buy CD's based on nothing but the covers and section they were in as an experimental way of finding music back in the day. That got me listening to The Union Underground again, as that's how I found them. Then there's always Korn every now and again. There just is.

They've been played here before, and are always welcome!
