I bought this when it came out. Played about 3/4 of a game on easy just to get a feel for it. Have yet to get back into it.

Does anyone play civ 6? I likes 5 alot. But to be fair I didn't get into that one either until it had a expansion or two.

Iím in the same boat -played the heck out of 5, especially after the expansions came out, but I only did one play through of 6 since I bought it at launch

I think the problem with VI is that it is too easy to exploit the mechanics now that you have adjacent neighborhoods that can be shared with other cities. So it makes wonder enhancements much more powerful than they were in previous games.

I think the problem with CIV 6 is that it just isn't as engaging as the previous titles. Maybe they changed up the recipe too much but I'm not sure that's it. I too have played dramatically little of it, having only completed one game and struggling to close out a second.

I want to like it very much. I felt like there were a lot of good ideas at launch. But it's hard to say I enjoy it when games like Skyrim beat it out for attention.

Also, they went a little too far down the SJW path this time. I mean, I consider myself moderately social liberal so I don't even mind that Nubia is run by Big Momma's House and that some Italian maven is running France... but they made several other gaffes like too-fat-Theo (fixed) and Latin-Korean looking Seondeok (sorta-fixed but a lot of Koreans were saying was a terrible leader, but female so G2G), and most recently Tamar of Georgia with gorgeous mocha skin... except in every historical depiction of her she is lily-white (hellooooo Georgia? Caucasus? Caucasian??). They are just missing the mark on a lot of leaders for what seems like inclusion's sake. I think they hit the balance really well in CIV 5 but kinda jumped the shark in 6.

I think the problem with Civ for me is that it is essentially the same meal, dressed up with different herbs and spices, with each iteration. My game time with the series built to a peak with Civ. III and has declined with each thereafter, much like my time and interest in Call of Duty, a very different game whose repetitions wore on me as well.

I know they change stuff, but the basic concepts remain and I guess I've just gotten...tired of it.
