And that sums up this mess of a "film" rather nicely.

I have to agree with this one. They tried to cram so much in that the pacing was just a mess.

Haven't seen it yet. But dammit if I'm not stoked for Suicide Squad!

SPOILERS ************

I liked it (the un-cut version).

The first 30/40 minutes kept my interest even though I was thinking that I was bored. I liked how Superman was framed. I also liked the 'Martha' bit as, basically, Batman's Mother and Father getting killed was the moment his life changed forever so saying THAT name meant something. Shame that the rest of the world thought that it was weak (Or just went with it as they've been told what to think).

Overall, not a bad film, not a great film, plus Doomsday really wasn't done that well compared to the comics. He should have been kept out of it all for a later Justice League film.

I hate the "Martha" thing because Batman had spent the entire movie with a seething bloodrage for Superman...and the mention of the name "Martha" not only completely cools his rage, but causes him to act like they're BFFs. I understand why it caused Batman to pull an emotional 180, but it doesn't make it any less clunky or ridiculous.

I liked certain aspects of the movie and I haven't watched the extended cut yet (although I do own it), but it's a flawed movie. I liked the Batman/Gotham bits, for the most part; aside from the killing (which is a little overblown, especially when compared to the other cinematic versions of Batman), this is my favorite live-action version of the character.

I left the theater wanting a solo Batman movie.

I've got to say I thought Ben did a great job as Bruce/Batman, and I will see his next outing as the Bat.

Spot on... This version of Batman, in the warehouse, kicked so much behind. I really, really enjoyed that section of the film and, as above, want a solo bat movie right now.

Yeah, he really nailed it in my eyes.
I think my favorite scene was when he confronted Luthor in prison; he had the right level of seething intensity.

Honestly, I'm excited for Suicide Squad just for the Batman cameo. The rest of the movie looks good, sure...but, my body is ready for more Batman.

And The Joker. I'm ready for more Joker.

Having only seen the ultimate edition, I need to try to watch it again, although I doubt I'll be able to get through it. People keeps saying it makes the film make more sense, but I can't even imagine how that would be the case. The biggest problem I had with the Batman 180, is that in the Ultimate Edition, we see him seemingly putting together the fact that Lex is behind everything. but then he goes out to kill superman ANYway. It just seemed incredibly stupid and un-Batman to me.

Man, that text description of Lex's plan was fantastic. One hallmark of a bad movie is a villain who's actions don't make sense from their own point of view. You want a asbergers Lex Luthor, fine, have one, but he better have some Heisenberg quality plans going on.

I finally saw it the other day, and as per advice I started with the ultimate edition.

It was pretty bad. It took forever to get anywhere, things didn't consistently make sense, and Jessie Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was fucking awful. It was a mix of boring, nonsensical, with bits of fun sprinkled throughout. I did like the darker batman, and I liked that he kills people. It helps the suspension of disbelief. (Because if you knock out 8 guys in a warehouse, there's a really really good chance that one of them will simply not wake up. Getting knocked out is *super* bad for you).

It wasn't the worst movie ever, maybe 3/5 stars, but I really would expect more considering just what it is.
