Underwater Survival Game Subnautica Coming to PS4 this Holiday

Subnautica Coming to PlayStation 4

Subnautica is coming to PlayStation 4! Ever since the earliest days of Subnautica on Steam, we have received constant requests for Subnautica to come to Sony’s console. Well, we heard you, and we are thrilled to be able to announce that we are working to make your requests a reality.

We have partnered with Panic Button, experts in console development, to help us bring Subnautica to the PS4. Panic Button are also helping to accelerate development on Subnautica Xbox.

Millions of people have enjoyed Subnautica on Steam, and in the as-yet-unfinished Xbox Preview. We hope that many more will now be able to experience the wonder, peril, and adventure that lies beneath the waves on Planet 4546B.

To be notified when Subnautica is available for purchase on PlayStation, follow @SubnauticaPS on Twitter, or Subnautica PlayStation on Facebook.

This has also been my favourite game of recent years, I've put almost a 100 hours into it.

Thoroughly recommend it, well crafted game loops and gating mechanics.

If I had to criticise it at all, I'd say I feel its impossible to play through the story and complete it without looking at online guides. Some things are just too obscure or too easy to miss that are critical to progression.

Worth the full price. No excuse not to pick it up on a sale.

As a newly minted PADI Open Water Diver, I'll most certainly have to look into this one. Totally flew under my radar.

Love this game! I finished it and I'm now playing it again on my new gaming rig at ultra high settings.

I really enjoyed it.

The game is incredibly immersive (no pun intended). Kind of just throw you into it & good luck. There is no tutorial, but rather a means of which to discover information.

If I had to complain at all... its that it feels a bit directionless at places. You really do have to have the mindset of 'Go out and explore'.

Congrats on the diving cert!

I'm interested in this one for sure.

Does it look better than this trailer on PC though? If it looks like that on PS4 this fall, it's going to be an average looking game at best. Still, good immersion can make up for that, so it's not a deal breaker for me. Just a little disappointing, maybe.

Congrats!

Me and the wife got certified 2 years ago and its been our favorite hobby since. Pretty much every vacation we plan starts with the question "can we scuba there?" We also recently moved to Florida, so the diving has been phenomenal.

Though I have only played it briefly, this is a very solid game all around. But like others have pointed out, you really need to have that urge to explore to get the most out of it.
