Sony Announces PS4 Pro And PS VR Price Cuts For The Holidays

Sony has announced "December Deals" for PS4 Pro and PlayStation VR systems.

Quote:
Hey there! The holiday shopping season is in full swing, and we have even more great deals worth celebrating! Starting this Sunday, December 10, we have a number of PlayStation deals in the U.S. for you to keep an eye out for.

If you haven’t already picked up a PlayStation VR or PS4 system for that special someone (or yourself), we’ve got some new PS VR bundle deals starting at $199.99 (MSRP), as well as PS4 Pro starting at $349.99 (MSRP), which is $50 less than the regular MSRP.

PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle

$199.99 (MSRP) // Regular price: $299.99 (MSRP)

This bundle includes a PS VR system, a PS Camera, a copy of GT Sport, and the new PS VR demo disc. The world’s first racing experience to be built from the ground up now heightens the experience further by transporting gamers straight into the driver’s seat in virtual reality. Experience thrilling one-on-one racing with select cars in the dedicated VR Drive mode in Arcade Mode.

PlayStation VR DOOM VFR Bundle

$299.99 (MSRP) // Regular Price: $399.99 (MSRP)

This bundle includes a PS VR headset, a PlayStation Camera, a copy of Doom VFR and the new PS VR demo disc. DOOM VFR brings the fast-paced gameplay fans of the series love to VR. Lay waste to an army of demons as you explore and interact with new areas of the UAC facility on Mars, and Hell itself, from an entirely new perspective.

PlayStation VR The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle

$349.99 (MSRP) // Regular Price: $449.99 (MSRP)

This bundle includes a PS VR system, a PS Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, a copy of Skyrim VR and the new PS VR demo disc. Skyrim VR is perfect for longtime fans of the game who want to check out Skyrim’s epic world in virtual reality, or for the curious gamer looking to virtually dip their toes in Tamriel for the very first time.

I got a PS4 Pro last week for $349. It's a nice upgrade. The games I've been playing on it so far including Horizon: Zero Dawn, CODWWII and Gran Turismo Sport are noticeably better.

Wow, 200 dollars for the GT Sport Bundle is an excellent price! If Sony offers something like that in Europe, I'll finally take the plunge, even if it's the old hardware (I probably won't get an HDR-capable TV anytime soon).

PSVR has a presently small, but intensely amazing set of VR experiences. Worth the spend. At these prices I think PSVR will be gone from the shelf pretty much instantly. Good luck finding it

I have a hard time with using the rift. It's just too clumbersome to have hooked up all the time plus using all the USB 3.0 slots on the PC is a pain in the butt.

But Skyrim and Doom definitely have me making some serious thinking about grabbing a PS Pro and one of those bundles.
