Like I said if you're into it, I'm glad it's there for you. I'm all about nostalgia. I just don't get the appeal of this, except it's smaller?
The handy part is the no-muss, no-fuss HDMI connection. Sure, you can buy an RCA-to-HDMI converter...but it's converting an analog signal to digital, which can lead to latency and artifacting. Without a converter, these older consoles look a bit less than ideal on modern TVs.

The best option for directly playing the old games on modern TVs is hooking up a PS3.

I'll be more interested in this once we get the full list. Otherwise, I'll just stick with my PSTV for nostalgia trips.

They usually do. Motion controls, these classic emulator boxes, a "smash bros" type all-star fight game, Mario Kart (Little Big Planet Karting), Analog sticks, the Rumble feature, Amiibo (totaku figures), Nintendogs (Playstation Vita Pets), etc.

You can bank on their next console having a fully mobile element of some kind.

There shouldn't be a list of included games. The console should come with a voucher good for 20 emulated titles off of their store, and you should be able to choose whichever damn ones you wish. THAT would be worth buying. Anything less is a PoS paper weight.
