See, that's what I - and pretty much anyone else who played Shadow of Mordor expected to happen after how successful the game was. It's a brilliant system and I'd love to see it expanded upon by other developers.

GTA3 (and San Andreas) and the first Saint's Row were absolutely perfect for doing shit like that. GTAV may not be quite as awesome in that regard...but, it's also the one I have the quickest and easiest access to from my couch.

I remember one of the games had you flying an RC copter. With keyboard and mouse controls it was so insanely hard I just gave up. Never played another minute of that release.

I could never beat 4. The final mission is, like, at least 45 mintues long, with cutscenes, and if you fail you have to do it all over again. There's a part where you have to track a boat while you are on land. If the boat gets too far away in any direction, you instantly lose. I tried about 4 times and then just quit. Life is too short.

That would be San Andreas. It was just as broken on console as it was on PC.

I'm anything but a pussy. But i can tell when a video game is exploiting my morals and values. And i don't like it. When are you going to get off the degenerate train you literal faggot? Its time.

that was one of the final missions. If you made different choices you chase a chopper if I remember right. Chopper one was easier. But yeah that boat one sucked.

really? Huh. I had no idea there was player choice in that game.

I feel like GTA needs more player choice. Meaningful things.

You are about retarded.. The end, and congratulations.

If you leave out all the degenerate acts the game allows you to do. You are left with driving around in a car and walking.

You really bought into that whole do as choose gimmick that was being pushed 15 years ago when these games first came out eh?

Your posts have a certain lyric symmetry to them, lol.

As for GTA, never played one and have no desire to do so. Whatever.

4chan is over there, come back when you can talk like an adult rather than an autistic 10 year old.

In a game that's about doing as you choose in an open world? Yeah. Guess I did.

I've actually had a problem with the lack of player choice since GTA3. There's a point in that game where you are working for the Japanese as thier wheelman and assassin. You are gaining their trust and working your way up in their organization and they are beginning to like and trust you. Then suddenly you get a mission to double cross them for no real reason from another contact that you just met. I remember thinking, "what? No! I don't want to do that. I LIKE these people and I don't know this guy from anybody." I think it was Donald Love, who was a big character in those old games. I also think he winds up double crossing you. In the end, I remember wishing that you could choose. It seemed unfair to FORCE you to double cross someone. But that was back in the day when your character didn't talk, so he just bizarrely agreed to everything.

Not sure why.

Its an open world game, but outside a few side distractions the only thing to do in the game is run quest and do the story line which consist of you doing alot of fucked up shit along side a Jerry Springer type story line. The races, and delivery quest are all clunky and not very deep. I was kinda upset with GTA5 and how limiting it was after all the hype. We went through this with Shenmu 20 years ago.

Using this logic i cant do whatever i want while playing tetris.

Makes sense. I bought it for 360, then PS4, then PC. I'm not even going to dignify most of the other comments in this thread. Yeesh.
