Aaron Rodgers is back! Still don't think the Packers can beat Carolina, and the season might end today. Hell, Rodgers might even rebreak his clavicle today, too!

I just hope it's a good game!

Hopin' to see the Iggles wrap up home field advantage and Foles show that he can carry the team deep into the playoffs. *crosses fingers*

Vikes ran away with another win. They even put Teddy in, in the 4th quarter

RedZone for me, all day.
Eagles beat the Giants and clinch a first-round bye, so the day is already off to a great start.

Rams crush the Seahawks, so great day even though I lost in the first round of my fantasy playoff. Going for third place now.

I'm a Patriots fan, and I don't care what is the actual rule.. that was a Pittsburg TD in my eyes.

Well at least they got the win and the Tie Braker for Home Field Advantage.

Totally agree - had control and broke the plane. Touchdown. /story

With the way the rule is written, it wasn't a touchdown. I hate it, I'll always hate it...but, I'm just glad they're being consistent with it.

It was a touchdown in any league but the NFL. It is what it is.

Yeah, unfortunately that's the rule. The NFL has gotten ridiculous with the replays and constant addition of new rules. I get that they are adding new rules to protect the players, but the game is still as dangerous as ever. It's turning into a con-job, and most of us are seeing right through it. You put 22 fast, strong and big men on a field, at some point somebody is getting hurt.

Why the hell do you all bother with this ridiculous 'sport' any more? I saw a replay of that touchdown (the Internet was loud over that one, lol), and it was A TOUCHDOWN. The play should end the moment the ball breaks the vertical plane of the end zone, period. That's an absolutely mentally deficient 'rule.'

The NFL is a joke.
* Constant stops in the action for replays to determine whether a millimeter here or there can be viewed to support or overturn on field calls...
* A concussion protocol that isn't used consistently (a quarterback having a SEIZURE on the field goes back in the game!) and that isn't effective anyways (the concussions aren't the underlying CTE-causing issue, it's the constant low-level head trauma from typical play on the field!).
* Players whose personal predilections include beating their wives/girlfriends and engaging in other off-field idiocy of an illegal nature.
* The politicization of the game by the people who play and those own the product.

How is ANY of this shit at all enjoyable to anyone? It's a poisoned product. Garbage.

I don't even know what a catch is anymore. Neither do the refs. They need to fix this.

For me personally... despite the NFL's best efforts, the game still showcases the best players in the world, playing the best (imo) team sport in the world, putting on a pretty exciting show. Even on its worst day, the NFL is far more compelling than the other football (soccer), from a consumer standpoint.

I agree but a trip to the dentist is more exciting than soccer. Maybe not the best example. I have tried to get into soccer but they flop around even more than basketball players. A 90 min 0-0 tie is a joke.

They do. The Nfl has problems. I don't really see any of them being fixed until after Goodell is gone.

You want an exciting sport where clock time actually equals action? HOCKEY. Serious athleticism, breakneck action, hard hits, occasional fights, and scoring (and even low scoring games are amazingly exciting. I saw a 1-0 Islanders/Edmonton finals game that was UNBELIEVABLE).

I love hockey. Wish we had a local team around here. No such luck. :-(

There's no denying the awesomeness of hockey. I'm a pretty hardcore Bruins fan, so you'll get no argument from me.
