I noticed in some preview or trailer they removed the blue cast from Will Smith. Is that true? If so that might have made him a lot less creepy than the first time I saw a rough cut.

Aladdin is great fun. It's not perfect, but I haven't seen a Ritchie film that is. I have to say, however, that his movies have a certain energy to them that is unique. I like him as a director. A lot. That surprise me to say, because he's had a few bombs, but he's talented and unique. The musical scene where Jasmine is singing while being taken away (when Jafar becomes powerful from getting the lamp) was really interesting and well done.

Will Smith is blue as the genie, normal when he's accompanying Aladdin at times. It works well and he doesn't look ridiculous in either case.

Fun movie. See it!

I didn't really care for the actor's portrayal of Jafar, although I did like how they fleshed the character out more; he had a bit more going on than just a stereotypical villainous lust for power.

He did not, however, turn into a giant cobra. I was disappointed.
