THQ Selling The Rest of its IP's

As part of a "court-approved sales process", THQ has begun selling off the rest of their IPs including Darksiders, Homeworld and Red Faction.

Quote:
Final bids for the properties are due on April 15. THQ says it has already received over "100 expressions of interest" regarding "various titles" still left in its vaults.

There will be six items in total for sale, four properties available individually and two "bundle" deals, one for internal properties, the other for licensed IP.

Darksiders, Red Faction, Homeworld and MX will be sold separately. Big Beach Sports, Destroy All Humans!, Summoner and "more" are included in the internal bundle, while Marvel Super Hero, Supreme Commander, Worms and "more" make up the licensed pack.

I certainly hope Homeworld, Supreme Commander, and Darksiders find good homes. Especially Homeworld though.

I surprised they aren't being forced to sell everything separately. The bidding may be tamer on the bundles since there are some dogs there that people won't want to be saddled with.

I agree. Even though I'm saying this simply because I love Dr. Horrible and never played Homeworld.

I cannot believe someone bought Relic and left their masterpiece sitting.

I would actually be pretty bummed if no one picked up Red Faction. The first and third games in that series were a blast. Nothing like charging virtually through an evil corporate headquarters - a FORMER EMPLOYER's evil headquarters, at that - at the end of a long workday to blow off some steam.

Would gladly pay a full $60 just to play a modernized remake of Red Faction 1. Loved that game.

These guys have been trying. I doubt they're gonna succeed, though.

I thought someone had already picked up Darksiders. Must have just been confused with the team being partially absorbed by Crytek.

Damn. If I knew it before, I would have donated some money.

I will sure buy whatever game they end up releasing.

There are a lot of IPs here that I think would certainly sell to individual parties if they weren't bundled up so much bullshit.

Relic buying Homeworld, Crate (Grim Dawn guys) buying Titan Quest, Team 17 buying the Worms IP, etc.
