I am super annoyed that GameFly will not be getting this game on release week, so I may just breakdown and purchase the game on release day. I prefer GameFly because if I had chosen to keep it would have been 20% off, the same deal I used to get with Prime.

I'm curious to see how all of the "maintenance" stuff they've added to the game will play out.
Weapon degradation is a thing, along with the customization. Wading through water, for example, will cause your guns to rust if they're submerged. You'll also get covered in blood after gunfights, which will affect social interactions. Sleeping, eating, and cleanliness are also factors, as well.
Most of it sounds neat on paper, but I'm wondering how it works over the course of a 60+ hour game.

I'm going have to cave and get this for PS4 until the PC version comes out. Hopefully.

Is a PC version actually confirmed? Because I don't think there will be a PC version...

I have a coworker who's 29 and plays games, but not like we do apparently. He talks about them a lot, but I told him I bought Red Dead 2 and he didn't know what it was. Never heard of the series. I didn't think that was possible. So there are people out there who have never even heard of Red Dead!

When you say play games, you mean he plays solitaire and minesweeper right? What gamer hasn't heard of the Red Dead series?

Not knowing RDR as a gamer is like a sports fan who doesn't know LeBron or Brady, a Southerner who doesn't know NASCAR or BBQ, or a sci-fi fan who doesn't know Star Trek.

Less than one week! Knowing that it comes on two discs, I'm still debating canceling my order of a physical copy and just buying digital directly from Sony.

No, it isn't confirmed. Though a Rockstar employee briefly put "Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version" on his Linked in resume. So, that's a good indication that there is a plan for the PC version at some point down the road.

I pulled the trigger on the digital version. I'm kinda tired of waiting around all day for Amazon drivers to deliver stuff. This way I don't have to look for the disc or wait, I can start playing in the morning as soon as I get home from work.
Going to pull an all-nighter. Since I work nights, that means staying up all day. Heh.

I'm going to buy the digital version as well. I think pre-loading starts on Friday, so we can be all ready upon release.
Edit: I just got ''Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition - PS4 [Digital Code]."

Pre-loading is already started. Mine just started downloading. You Bastard, you went for the Ultimate edition. I was playing the cheapskate and went for the regular version just because I figured they will add so much stuff to Red Dead Redemption 2 online that I won't miss the bonus costumes and horses once we get down the road a bit.
Edit: I can't wait for them to launch Red Dead Redemption 2 online. I don't think we have done any multiplayer gaming sessions together since Destiny 1 launched!

I see that pre-loading is going; almost 100 GB.
I almost got the regular one, but I figured I'd get my money's worth, knowing Rockstar.

Yea, I'm just being a cheapskate this time. I'm sure it will work out as long as you aren't going around lording your fancy horse over me the whole time. Ha!
