The Rock teams up with a giant Monkey in the Rampage Trailer

Quote:
Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Global megastar Dwayne Johnson headlines the action adventure “Rampage,” directed by Brad Peyton.

I'm disappointed The Rock didn't get mutant-stitched together with the gorilla and go Hulk Smash in the surrounding neighborhood. In the games, if you die, you shrink back into a naked human.

The WWE trademark either wore out or he finally has enough Cred as Dwayne Johnson to be a draw without "The Rock" label. He used to have to give a portion of his salary to WWE when they billed him as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson because that's where his fame came from.

Good to see he can now carry the movie on his own merits. Though I don't know about the merits of this movie...

Did I hear correctly that he's now the highest-paid actor in Hollywood? A WWE wrestler. Or was I watching a rerun of Idiocracy?

That guy who plays Negan's shtick of smirking, leaning back and squinting a lot has grown real, real thin. I can barely watch the guy because he lays that shit on so thick.

Hollywood's top paid actors are often action stars. Where have you been in the last 30 years? And WWE wrestlers are actors. Also, Santa Claus isn't real.

People like The Rock. That’s what the studios are paying for. People will pay a couple of bucks to “visit” their “friend”. With any other actor in the lead, this would be a direct to video film.

I like the Rock (Good old Dwayne) as I know what to expect. He delivers what he's cooking etc blah blah.

Absolutely fantastic in the film 'Faster' (Not because he said 20 words in the entire film).

I like Jeffrey Dean Morgan; he's pretty good in most of his projects and doesn't typically do the "Negan shtick". Hell, the entire reason why i'm excited for the Flashpoint movie is that he was previously cast as Thomas Wayne. He'll make a great Flashpoint Batman.

He's one of my favorites. Looking forward to Jumanji from him as well. That looks hilarious!

I like that he doesn't take himself too seriously and can do some good comedy.

What's with the terrible music choices in action trailers these days? First that weird Tupac remix in Pacific Rim 2, and now Smashing Pumpkins?
